The challenge
Tools and equipment move between locations while the business needs to know where they are. Tracking these movements needed to rely on more than manual registration alone.
Our work
The work covered software, hardware development and testing. Tracking equipment and the cloud platform were treated as parts of one solution for an ongoing equipment overview.
The solution
BLE and RFID were combined with telemetry data in a cloud platform. Information from physical equipment was connected to digital support for following tools and their movements.
The outcome
The developed platform supported an ongoing equipment overview. The assignment demonstrates how identification, tracking hardware and software work together when equipment moves between locations.
