Systems & Technology Advisory

Are your systems working for you – or is a major choice ahead?

Your ERP or CRM may no longer fit the business. We help separate genuine limitations from issues that better configuration, processes or integrations could resolve.

Technology decisions grounded in business needs.

Where do you want to start?

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • You need to decide whether to improve, replace or connect existing systems.

  • Vendor proposals, architecture choices or a technical due-diligence question need an experienced review.

  • A product idea has missing user roles, exceptions or dependencies that could change the scope.

What we can work on

  • Review the system landscape, architecture, requirements, interfaces and operating responsibilities.
  • Evaluate platforms and vendors, ERP/CRM and document flows, modernization options and lifecycle costs.
  • Assess API ecosystems, payment and banking workflows, data ownership, reconciliation and integration strategy.
  • Possible outputs: a system assessment, requirements, demonstration prototype, architecture review, comparison of options, due-diligence findings or recommendations for your own development team.

Which approaches could make sense?

We can compare Microsoft Dynamics, SAP and other commercial products with your current system and custom software. The assessment uses your requirements, available documentation and any additional product expertise needed.

What could you take away?

Examples of possible outputs. We agree the content and scope for each engagement.

  1. Systems review and requirements for key workflows.

  2. Comparison of products, integrations and lifecycle costs.

  3. Architecture recommendation or a phased modernization plan.

How we work together

We clarify the decision and involve relevant business users, technical colleagues and suppliers. We examine the product from different users’ perspectives, identify exceptions and dependencies, and compare build, buy, configure and integrate options. Recommendations explain technical difficulty, budget, lifecycle costs and a sensible first stage. We can also participate in implementation; that role is made clear in the recommendation and proposed scope.

  1. We understand your business

  2. We find the right approach

  3. We help put it into practice

Advice can be a standalone engagement. You choose whether to proceed with us, your own team or another supplier.

What can improve

A fuller view of the system, a clearer scope and a reasoned basis for investment. Your internal team can use the assessment to challenge assumptions, guide procurement or plan implementation.

Decisions and constraints

Access to documentation, people and systems determines the depth of a review. We distinguish observations from assumptions and unresolved risks. Advice is evidence-led, while our potential commercial role in delivery is disclosed. A prototype tests an idea; production software may need a different implementation. Legal or regulatory opinions require the relevant specialists.

Questions worth asking

Can we use the consultation without commissioning development?

Yes. Advice is a complete assignment in its own right. You can take the requirements, assessment, prototype or recommendations to your own team. We can discuss implementation if you want us involved.

Can you work with our own developers?

Yes. We can review architecture, clarify scenarios and dependencies, discuss technical choices and agree a useful division of responsibility with your team.

Must we have a specification and budget first?

No. We can help define both. An indicative budget, when available, helps compare scope and lifecycle costs; it is not a condition for contacting us.

Can the role continue after the assessment?

Yes. Ongoing architecture guidance, prioritization or a fractional technology-leadership role can be discussed where the required expertise, mandate and availability fit. Responsibilities are agreed explicitly.
